ABOUT DR. GRACE ALESSI

Dr. Grace Alessi

Our
Story

I recently left a traditional medical practice to pursue my passion and interest in integrative medicine. I hope you take the time to read a little about this exciting new paradigm for patient care. My goal in choosing to practice under this “new medicine” is to go back to what I think medicine has lost. It is my personal belief that the patient-doctor relationship is the gateway to the healing process for most patients. I want this relationship to guide you toward your own ability to heal. I want to give you the tools to promote healing and then vitality. In life, everyone has a story. Most adults, even the ones who describe themselves as “healthy”, are likely to have some imbalances; these may be nutritional, emotional, structural, functional, or spiritual. If we can continually “re-set” ourselves, open our eyes to those imbalances, and “tune up”, I think we will prevent a lot of chronic disease in the future. The time for “re-setting” is now.

I think if we can take the time to know someone, really understand where they come from, who they are, where and what they want to be, then we can serve them much better. This process takes time. I would like to give all my patients this time. It will pay off in future damages avoided.

The relationship I want to develop with my patients is one of mutual respect. The days of the doctor in the ivory tower are long gone.

I want to work one on one to understand your needs and what will work for you as an individual.

Biochemically we are all unique. There are genetic things we are programmed with, but how these genes are expressed is profoundly influenced by our environment, diet, exposures, emotions, and more. Additionally, how our body handles food, drugs, toxins, and stress is intricately different. The notion that one treatment or one pill fits all is unrealistic and even dangerous.

Overall, my my biggest desire for you is to be empowered about your health. The absence of disease does not reflect health. Health is a constant dynamic process, in need of daily nurturance, and results in vitality. Be as great as you can be!!

"I’ve been to many doctors over the years and have never felt like I was their priority. Typically you have an appointment but have to still wait forever to see the doctor and then you are rushed thru the process. In Dr Boone’s office you are their top priority."
